In 2017, the French artist JR, in conjunction with another piece, created a meal with hundreds of guests on both sides of the US/Mexico border wall. The eyes pictured on the table belong to those of a DACA Dreamer.

I think the intersection between these two things is pretty implicit – and, often, explicit– in a lot of the things that come from Life is a Sacred Text, no? I would hope so, anyway.

But that doesn't mean it's not worthwhile to even scale back a little further and look at the ways that– well, my tradition, as that's still home base around here– has thought about and framed the things happening at that intersection.

Shall we take a look at this thing from a few different angles?
